Hi! It's Ellie here and I get to tell you about our 29th day of Global Semester!

Our morning started with us in the bus at 8:30, as our tour organizer Walid would say. We had the wonderful surprise of being joined by Walid's 12 year old daughter, Heidi.
On the hour bus ride to Memphis & Saqqara, our guide, Amani, told us more about the culture and history of Egypt. We started off with the Imhotep museum and then made our way through the extensive Mereruka tomb. We then went to Saqqara where we saw the step pyramid, the first columns, and even more tombs. Every tomb, hieroglyph, temple, and pyramid continues to amaze us! While today's high was 95 F, it felt relatively cool after 4 days in the hot Luxor sun.
After another full day of touring, we settled down for movie night. Tonight's showing was the Incredibles. Our movie night was complete with popcorn, chips, and pop (including green apple Fanta which tastes like green jolly ranchers)! For all of us Disney fans, this was a highlight of the day (a close second to the amazing tours we had today). However, the movie cut out right before the last scene so we did not get to finish the movie. Fortunately, Rachael came in to save the day and reenacted the end of the movie; it was pretty incredible. It is safe to say that we are all excited for the Incredibles 2 to come out next year!
